East Williston to Light Gold Tree for Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month

The Village of East Williston will declare September Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month with the lighting of its Gold Tree on Friday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m. on the Village Green.

Residents are invited to “Light the Way and Go Gold” by displaying gold bows throughout the community. Bows are available for purchase from Art Flower & Gift Shoppe, located at 41 N. Village Ave. in Rockville Centre.

“Light the Way” lanterns will also be sold during the tree-lighting ceremony. All proceeds will benefit the Mary Ruchalski Foundation for Pediatric Cancer Research.
