It was a picture-perfect afternoon for Mineola High School’s Homecoming on September 20, as sunshine, school spirit, and Mustang pride filled the air. Hundreds of students, families, alumni, and neighbors lined the streets to cheer on the annual homecoming parade before gathering at Hampton Stadium for an exciting day of football and celebration.
The festivities kicked off with a warm welcome from Mineola High School Principal Rory Parnell, who introduced this year’s Homecoming Court to enthusiastic applause from the packed stands. The crowd’s energy only grew as the Mineola Mustangs took the field against the Clarke Rams, with fans waving pom-poms, chanting, and dancing along with the Mustang cheerleaders.
Halftime brought even more excitement. The Mineola cheerleaders delivered a spirited and skillful performance, followed by a show-stopping debut from the Mineola Mustangs Marching Band and Color Guard. Their futuristic new show, “The Only Way Out,” featured 123 talented performers showcasing dazzling precision, sound, and choreography that brought the crowd to its feet.
The district extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who marched, performed, or cheered along the parade route and in the stands, helping make this year’s homecoming an unforgettable celebration of community and school pride.
