On December 18, the Herricks Art Department proudly hosted its annual District Art Student Recognition Show at the Herricks Community Center, celebrating student creativity from kindergarten through 12th grade.

The exhibition showcased more than 250 pieces of artwork created by students across the district, offering visitors an inspiring look at the depth and diversity of Herricks’ visual arts program. Displays featured a wide range of artistic mediums, including drawing, painting, photography, fashion illustration, and mixed media.

Families and community members enjoyed the event’s popular “ArtWalk,” during which hallways were filled not only with student artwork but also with live musical performances by Tri-M Music Honor Society musicians, adding an extra layer of celebration to the evening.

“It’s always amazing to see our students’ creativity come to life,” said Anissa Arnold, District Director of Music and Fine Arts. “The variety and talent on display tonight truly reflect the hard work and dedication of our young artists and their teachers.”

The District Art Student Recognition Show highlighted the creativity, commitment, and passion of Herricks students and educators, creating a memorable evening that brought the entire community together in celebration of the arts.
