Hildebrandt’s Hat Races Into the Spotlight at the Kentucky Derby

By Williston Post Staff

In a thrilling twist of hometown pride, the winner of this year’s Kentucky Derby crossed the finish line with a special shoutout to Williston Park—thanks to none other than Hildebrandt’s!

Sponsored by Williston Park’s Hildebrandt’s, Junior Alvarado celebrated after riding Sovereignty to victory in the 151st Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky on May 3.

The winning jockey topped off his celebration wearing the now-famous Hildebrandt’s hat, proudly repping the iconic local eatery on one of the biggest stages in sports. The moment marked a unique and unforgettable intersection of tradition, talent, and hometown roots.

It’s not every day a local institution like Hildebrandt’s finds itself in the winner’s circle at Churchill Downs—but this year, it did just that.
