Herricks Sophomore Wins Congressional Art Competition

Congratulations to Herricks High School sophomore Emma Wen, who has been named a winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. Her exceptional artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol for eleven months, where it will be seen by Members of Congress, staff, and millions of visitors from across the country and around the world.
The competition, established in 1982, celebrates the creativity of high school artists nationwide and offers young talents like Emma a unique platform for both local and national recognition.
What an incredible honor for Emma and a proud achievement for the entire Herricks community!
