By Williston Post Staff

Four juniors from The Wheatley School — Ava Kelly, Emily Yan, Kik Tzoumas and Diya Gupta — have been selected to participate in Adelphi University's "For the Love of Arts" program, an opportunity designed to nurture creativity and artistic development.

The students will take part in an intensive 10-week Drawing and Graphic Arts course, where they will explore their artistic interests, develop new skills and gain insight from university faculty and industry professionals.

The program encourages high school students to pursue their creative passions while connecting with experienced educators, keynote speakers and panelists who offer real-world perspectives on careers in the arts.

"We are incredibly proud of Ava, Emily, Kik and Diya for this well deserved recognition," said Wheatley art teacher Julia Maloney. "This program will give them an incredible opportunity to grow as artists and connect with professionals in the field they are passionate about."

The East Williston School District congratulates the four students on their selection and recognizes Adelphi University for its continued commitment to supporting the next generation of artists.
