East Williston to Host Inaugural Field of Honor® Display This Spring

By East Williston Village Office

From May 26 to June 14, 2025, the East Williston Village Green will transform into a breathtaking sea of American flags as the community hosts its first-ever Field of Honor® display. This powerful and patriotic tribute will bring residents together to honor hometown heroes, including veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and other special individuals who have made a lasting impact.

Each flag in the display will represent a unique story—a loved one, a neighbor, a protector—and will stand as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and unity. Community members are invited to sponsor a flag in honor or memory of someone meaningful in their lives, making this not only a visual spectacle but a deeply personal and heartfelt experience.

As visitors walk among the flags, they’ll be reminded of the strength and resilience that define the American spirit. Our nation has faced challenges throughout history—and each time, we’ve emerged stronger. The Stars and Stripes are more than just a symbol; they represent our collective identity and our commitment to building a brighter future.

This extraordinary display is free and open to the public, made possible through the generous support of local donors, sponsors, and dedicated volunteers. Proceeds will benefit the East Williston Library and the East Williston Senior Center, helping to support vital resources within our community.

Whether you sponsor a flag, make a donation, or simply take a moment to reflect while visiting, your participation will help ensure this event leaves a lasting mark on our community’s heart.

We encourage everyone to experience the East Williston Field of Honor®—a tribute not just to the past, but to the values that unite us today.
