Serving Up Love: Third Annual Drew and Ethan Tennis Fundraiser a Smash Hit
By Liel Agajan and Ben Shamash
The Third annual Drew and Ethan Tennis Fundraiser brought the community together once again for a day filled with friendly competition, laughter, and generosity — all in memory of Drew Hassenbein and Ethan Falkowitz.
Organized by Liel and Ben, the event featured both beginner and advanced tennis brackets, with players of all ages and skill levels coming out to rally for a cause close to their hearts. The courts were filled with energy, smiles, and a shared sense of purpose, as dozens of volunteers and supporters made the day another tremendous success.
Local businesses also showed their support. Spuntino’s Pizza in Williston Park generously donated 15 pizza pies, ensuring every registered player enjoyed a free slice. Additional snacks, baked goods, and drinks were sold throughout the day, with proceeds adding to the fundraiser’s impact. Two exciting raffles — featuring Starbucks gift cards, Brendos gift cards, and a $50 cash prize — helped raise even more funds.
Tournament Results:
🏆 Advanced Division Winners: Ben Kalat and Sam Epstein
🎾 Beginner Division Winners: Dan Epstein and Tom Mascia
Thanks to the incredible turnout, community spirit, and generous donations, the event once again honored Drew and Ethan’s memory in the best way possible — through friendship, kindness, and giving back. The event would not hvae been possible without the strong support from the Wildcats Athletic Foundation.
Congratulations to this year’s winners in both the Advanced and Beginner categories, and heartfelt thanks to everyone who played, volunteered, or donated to make the day so special.
