Orchestra of Long Island Concert Returns to Wheatley on February 5
The Orchestra of Long Island will return to The Wheatley School for its annual concert on Wednesday, February 5, at 7:00 p.m., offering the community an evening of exceptional live music.
The performance will take place in The Wheatley School Auditorium and is free and open to the public, according to the event flyer OLI 2026 Concert.
The concert features a unique side-by-side performance in which Wheatley student musicians perform alongside members of the Orchestra of Long Island under the direction of David Stewart Wiley. The collaboration gives students a rare opportunity to learn directly from professional musicians while delivering a memorable concert experience for audiences.
Program highlights include works such as Mozart’s Symphony No. 25, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, Smetana’s The Moldau, selections from Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, and popular themes from The Magnificent Seven, Pocahontas, and E.T. OLI 2026 Concert.
Community members are encouraged to attend and support the students as they share the stage with professional musicians in this annual celebration of music and learning.
