For the 17th consecutive year, Mineola Public Schools has been named one of the Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation, recognizing the district’s exceptional dedication to providing high-quality music instruction and access for all students.

This prestigious national award highlights school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to ensure music education is part of a well-rounded curriculum for every learner. Mineola’s long-standing commitment to fostering creativity, discipline, and artistic expression through music continues to set it apart as a leader in arts education.

The NAMM Foundation, a nonprofit supported in part by the National Association of Music Merchants, promotes active participation in music-making across all ages. Its annual recognition program celebrates schools that prioritize music as an essential part of student development.

“Receiving this honor for 17 years is a testament to the dedication of our teachers, administrators, and community,” said a district representative. “It reflects the value we place on creativity and the lifelong benefits of music education.”
