Four Honored as Eagle Scouts by Herricks Troop 201
By Michael Keating
On Sunday, May 18th, our community proudly celebrated a major milestone for four young men, who earned the rank of Eagle Scout—the highest achievement in the Boy Scouts of America. The ceremony, held at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Port Washington, recognized Michael Chao, Brian Keating, Matthew Rapa, and Jeffrey Polanski for their leadership, perseverance, and commitment to service.
Becoming an Eagle Scout is a distinguished honor that represents years of dedication, community involvement, and personal growth. Fewer than 5% of Scouts achieve this rank, which is a symbol of integrity, citizenship, and achievement.
Congratulations to these outstanding young men on this well-deserved accomplishment! Check out some photos from the ceremony.
