East Williston to Celebrate Memorial Day with Full Lineup of Community Events
The Village of East Williston invites residents and neighbors to come together on Memorial Day for a meaningful and fun-filled day of remembrance, celebration, and community spirit.
The day kicks off bright and early with the 5K Run, starting at 8:30 AM at Devlin Field, followed by the Lil Tykes Fun Run for children 6 years and under at approximately 9:15 AM.
Next up, families can head over to the Village Hall parking lot for the Kiddie “Anything on Wheels” Parade hosted by the East Williston Library. Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, or wagons starting at 10:00 AM before joining the mini parade.
At 11:15 AM, the traditional Memorial Day Parade will step off from Northside School, making its way through the village.
The heart of the day is the Memorial Day Ceremony at 12:00 noon on the Village Green, honoring all who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Residents are encouraged to attend and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
After the ceremony, stick around for race awards and tours of the Antique Fire Truck and Museum, a favorite for both kids and adults.
East Williston’s Memorial Day is a special opportunity to reflect, connect, and celebrate the community—all while honoring the brave men and women who have served our country.
